Hi there!
I’m Allie, and I’m on a mission to create fantasy stories you can get lost in through unique worlds led by characters with relatable emotional experiences.
As a kid, I fully believed I was secretly a fairy. Ever since the disappointment of my true humanity set in, I’ve been weaving tales of fantasy. If I’m not coming up with new worlds to explore, I’m probably listening to my newest favorite podcast or audiobook, wrangling a rabbit or chicken in the backyard with a sibling, or plotting victory in the latest family game.
Mission
I’m a YA Fantasy author of stories that take you on an epic journey and still bring a smile to your face. Growing up as the only homeschooled kid in church, I know what it’s like to be the “little guy” who doesn’t feel seen. I write tales of heroes who wouldn’t be the first ones picked, choose to fight for good and true in the end, and go deeper than their “swash-buckling, dagger-stabbing” qualities.
I’ve been telling fantastical stories since before I could even read and am being trained by industry professionals through the Author Conservatory to hone my craft. I’ve also published multiple short stories online and through anthologies, and used to run a speculative fiction serial podcast/blog series where I grew my writing skills and ability to keep a reader hooked with both my characters and the interesting world.
I’m on a mission to write stories that allow you an immersive experience through an exciting new world you might not have seen in a story yet, characters who feel like real people and have emotional depth but don’t go too dark without hope. I realize that to be authentic to real life, sometimes you have to go deeper and into the hard things; but I don’t leave you there without some hope, light, and levity so you don’t feel like you’re slogging through the mud. I want you to feel as though you’ve been allowed an escape from reality through my stories because those kinds of tales are my own favorite to read.
